What is up with the coaches?

What is going on with the coaches in district?  Lots of moving around.  Post comments!!!!

We heard that at the beginning of the year there was quite a "Come to Jesus" meeting between Hinson and the coaches.  Apparently, he hates to lose.  Is this what is going on?

  2. Yeah, good job done in just short of the time necessary for tenure, then don't get renewed. that is one answer.

  3. More on this story later. It's all about sports in ISD - just some former jocks trying to recreate their glory days. Note all the buzz cuts.

  4. Regarding sports - the father of a boy that Hurl recruited to play basketball for the team he coached was given a job with the district. This father is a convicted felon, released from prison not long before he was hired by ISD. Don't custodians also have to pass background checks? Coincidence???

  6. Apparently it is not a good idea to coach a sport the Chrisman principal's son or daughter plays. I guess he would know a bad coach when he sees one - he got around as a coach (by choice?). And his wife has had how many coaching jobs? 10?

  7. Coaching a "Becker" is very undesirable. Becker micromanaged every aspect of volleyball this year. He sent notes from the bleachers (through the AD) to the coach telling her which formations to switch to and who to play. If she didn't do it, her job was on the line. He made that very clear. She did everything he said, but apparently it wasn't enough. She will be coaching volleyball in a neighboring district next year.

The principal had a hard time not crossing the line between parent and "the boss." He liked to play both roles and all the wrong times.

Yes... there was a quite a meeting between coaches and Hinson last summer. He said coaches must win "superbowls", or he will find people to take their jobs who will. It was quite the pep talk.
